I’m still teaching at Central Michigan University, where my rank is Senior Lecturer. CMU recently decided to slash the budget in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, which resulted in four lecturers being laid off from the Department of Philosophy and Religion. I was fortunate to escape the axe and regret the loss of these outstanding colleagues.
In 2018 I published an article titled “Autonomy, Slavery, and Companion Animals” in Between the Species 22.1.
I have recently rekindled an interest in philosophical practice in the form of individual counseling, resulting in acquiring a certification in client counseling as a Fellow of the American Philosophical Practitioners Association.
